1. Introduction
2025 has been a year that shaped Respocare in meaningful ways — not because we aimed to grow, but because the people we serve asked us to.
Across South Africa, more specialists, more patients, and more families placed their trust in Respocare. With every delivery, every clinical call, and every moment of support, one truth became clearer: healthcare is personal, and service becomes a responsibility — not a role.
This year, our mission deepened, our reach expanded, and our purpose sharpened. We brought oxygen therapy into new regions. We supported international medical leaders. We advanced agentic AI for clinicians across the country.
And above all, we kept one principle at the center of everything: the patient remains at heart.
2. Expanding Oxygen Therapy Across South Africa
One of the most meaningful developments this year was expanding our oxygen therapy services into the Vaal, Mpumalanga, and Cape Town. These regions have long needed a specialist-aligned, reliable home oxygen partner — and we are proud to support the clinicians and families who call these areas home.
For patients, this expansion means shorter wait times, better access to oxygen therapy, and support that responds quickly and consistently. For specialists and pulmonologists, it means a trusted partner who integrates seamlessly into chronic and acute respiratory care planning.
Patients in these regions now benefit from:
• Fast concentrator delivery and setup• Reliable cylinder supply• Portable oxygen options designed for mobility• Direct clinical collaboration
Our national footprint is only beginning, but the vision remains unchanged: bring high-quality oxygen therapy closer to every home that needs it.
3. Expanding Critical Oxygen Services: Clinics, Highcare EMS & International Medical Support
Respocare’s oxygen cylinder division grew significantly this year, becoming a central pillar of our clinical operations. We expanded support to clinics, specialist rooms, and emergency-response environments across South Africa — all with one standard: oxygen must be safe, compliant, and always on time.
A key milestone was supporting Qatar’s healthcare leaders during the G20 Summit, delivering emergency-ready oxygen cylinders throughout their stay. Serving an international medical delegation at a global event required accuracy, readiness, and absolute trust — a responsibility we were honoured to uphold.
Locally, our partnerships strengthened:
• Clinics across Gauteng, the Vaal, Mpumalanga, and Cape Town relied on our predictable cylinder supply and DOT-standard compliance.• Highcare EMS at OR Tambo International Airport continued to trust our emergency oxygen capability in one of the country’s most demanding environments.
These diverse partnerships highlight the same truth: oxygen is a clinical lifeline, and its reliability matters everywhere — from specialist rooms to aviation emergency teams to international delegations.
4. Respocare Insights — South Africa’s Trusted Voice for AI in Healthcare
In parallel with our oxygen expansion, Respocare Insights became one of South Africa’s most trusted sources of clarity on the evolving world of AI in healthcare.

5. Matthew Hellyar’s Keynote at the AI in Healthcare Summit 2025
As an official partner of the AI in Healthcare Summit 2025, Respocare played a central role in one of the most important healthcare events of the year.
Matthew Hellyar delivered a keynote that marked a turning point for clinical AI in South Africa: Agentic AI in Clinical Workflows.
Rather than presenting future concepts, the keynote demonstrated what Respocare Connect AI is already delivering today — intelligent, record-aware systems that:
• Reduce administrative load
• Automate and structure clinical documentation• reason through patient history and supporting records• support clinical decision-making in real time
For many attendees, this was the first time agentic AI was presented not as an abstract idea, but as a practical clinical tool designed around actual specialist workflows.
The live demonstration showed real-world cases processed through Respocare Connect AI, highlighting accuracy, context-awareness, and guideline alignment.
This moment positioned Respocare Connect AI at the heart of South Africa’s movement toward intelligent, record-grounded clinical systems.
6. Respocare Connect AI — From Demonstration to Live Clinical Pilots
Following the Summit, Respocare Connect AI is now entering its most important phase: real-world pilot deployment.
Early next year, selected clinics and specialist practices across South Africa will begin using our agentic AI workflows in live environments. These pilots will evaluate:
• Reduction in documentation time\
• Accuracy and guideline adherence in real patient cases
• Integration into specialist workflows
• Responsiveness across varied clinical demands
• Overall impact on clinician time and patient outcomes
To follow our pilot program, system updates, and clinical insights, clinicians are invited to join The Agentic Report, our dedicated channel for Respocare Connect AI developments.
This is where meaningful innovation meets real clinical practice — built carefully, tested responsibly, and delivered with purpose.
7. Portable Oxygen — Protecting Freedom, Mobility & Quality of Life
Portable oxygen remained one of the strongest expressions of our mission this year. Patients across Gauteng, the Vaal, Mpumalanga, and Cape Town continue to depend on Respocare for devices that support mobility, travel, exercise, family activities, and safe day-to-day living.
We supported patients with:
• Portable concentrator rentals
• High-performance devices selected for quality and safety
• Long-life battery options
• Personalized clinical guidance
• A service culture built around independence, not limitation
Portable oxygen is more than equipment — it’s freedom. And our focus remains steadfast: oxygen therapy should restore life, not restrict it.
8. A Thank You to Our Patients, Doctors & Partners
As we move forward, we want to express our sincere gratitude.
To the patients who trusted us with their care. To the specialists and clinics who rely on us for continuity and reliability. To the emergency teams and international partners who depend on us in high-pressure environments. To the clinicians and researchers who turn to Respocare Insights and Respocare Connect AI to stay ahead.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
This year strengthened our commitment to one principle above all:service must remain personal, disciplined, and anchored in care.
In 2026, we continue with the same mission: deliver exceptional oxygen therapy, lead responsibly in AI, and support South African healthcare with excellence at every step.
